2 Camera Vehicle Security System

This product is a 2 camera car-mounted vehicle security system, which is great for safeguarding and monitoring your car, protecting it from vandalism, or capturing activity happening around your vehicle/the surrounding premises.

The system itself is comprised of two high definition, ultra lowlight pinhole lens security camera and a video recording unit. This product is simple to set up and operate, but also works very effectively. The camera and recorder are powered by through a 12 volt power source. You can connect it to the car’s cigarette lighter socket, direct through the car’s 12 volt supply, or you can derive power from an external 12 volt battery pack (not provided).

Another additional product that compliments the 2 Camera Vehicle Security System is the Hand Held CCTV Monitor (which can be found in our range). This makes setting up, operating and selecting options for the cameras even more convenient.

The settings include options for both motion detection and manual recording. You can set the cameras up to take snapshots of still images for every second it detects motion for optimal storage conservation, or have one camera taking snapshots and one taking motion-detected video clips. The footage captured by the 2 camera system is stored on an SD card, with the unit supporting SD cards up to 32GB in capacity (this can be purchased in addition to the camera system).

Using a 32 GB SD card, you will get approximately:

High Quality – 320,000 still snapshots / 30 hours of video recording. This gives you around 3-4 days of continuous image capture (one photo every second). If you use the motion-activated option, this could increase to a period of weeks (dependent on the levels of activity in the area).

Low Quality – 640,000 still snapshots / 60 hours of video recording. This gives you around 7-8 days of continuous image capture (one photo every second). If you use the motion-activated option, this could increase to a period of months on just one cycle of the SD card, as in most cases the movement and activity is low. In addition, you can set up the DVR to overwrite files when the SD card is full, deleting the oldest recordings. Another way to preserve storage consumption is to set the cameras up to take a photo for up to every 10 seconds that movement is detected.

You can view playback from the recording unit itself if connected to a monitor. Another viewing option is via a USB cable connected to a laptop or PC/computer, or removing the SD card and using an SD card reader to access the recordings.

Included with this product are 2 x night vision cameras. These ultra lowlight night vision pinhole camera modules are equipped with a flat pinhole 3.7mm board lens. The impressive design of these cameras means that colour pictures can be captured, even in extremely low light conditions. This device can record colour images down to 0.00019 lux. These cameras can be useful in a variety of situations, as they work without an external source of light.

There are other lens options available, with different magnification levels and purposes. These covert surveillance cameras can easily be hidden within an object on the car’s dashboard / parcel shelf. For example, a tissue box, a helmet, a sun hat, and more.
